The government has lost its appeal against a High Court decision that it had acted illegally in cutting Solar PV FiTs prior to the formally agreed deadline of 1st April 2012.
Solar PV tariffs are guaranteed to be a minimum of 21p for those installing Solar PV during this period.
The government is appealing to the Supreme Court, so there is still some uncertainty, but if they lose then installations during this period will continue to attract the full 43.3p guaranteed rate.
We say that if you were dithering about installing Solar PV after the cut, then with such a potential upside, it is well worth going ahead before the 3rd of March when the rates will be cut for certain!
